GREEN YOUR: LAUNDRY ROOM {DRYER SHEETS}

Smells like sunshine

One easy way to GREEN YOUR: LAUNDRY ROOM is to take your clothes outside.  Outside on the line that is.  Clotheslines are better for the environment, easier on your clothes, reduce waste, cut energy consumption, save you money, and you just can’t beat the smell of line-dried clothes!

I stopped drying our clothes in the dryer nearly two years ago.  It easily cuts $20 off our electric bill every month.  That combined with power strips has shaved $60 off our summer bills!  I do still use the dryer {with no heat} for fluffing.  No one likes crunchy clothes.  Even before giving up the dryer we gave up fabric softener.  No Spring Rain, Mountain Breeze, or Crisp Linen here.  Just sunshine.

Smells like sunshine

I can hardly stand the smell of fabric softener now.  It’s noxious!  Even after clothes have been stored for months {even years!} after being washed in or dried with fabric softener you can still smell it.  What the hell is that stuff made of?

Fabric Softener Ingredients

Mmm… Just what I want to be swathed in.  No thanks.
