Meet me in St. Louie {Part three}

St. LouisNo girls’ getaway would be complete without a little shopping.

On Friday we set out to explore the town and fill my trunk.  <– Something the bell hop was less than thrilled to find when we were checking out and luggage needed to be loaded in.  Oopsie!

We started off with a little lunch at Sweet Art from-scratch bakeshop & art studio.  We were a bit surprised to discover that the menu is mainly vegan.  Vegan food was the furthest thing from my mind.  I was in St. Louis and about to give up meat for Lent.  I wanted to get me some ribs!

Nevertheless, it was delicious.  I devoured my plate of Vegan Mackin’ Cheese.  Then topped it off with a delectable Hummingbird Cupcake.  Just the fuel I needed for a day of shopping!

We hit up three vintage stores in town - Green Shag MarketTreasure Aisles Antique Mall and Big Bend Antique Gallery.  I scored a few goodies at each.  One being, that fur collar I am wearing up top.

I added two fur collars to my collection, a wood-framed parasol [finally!], an orange feather headpiece  [shown around my wrist], an orange floral brooch [not shown] and was thrilled to find two American Tourister suitcases [with keys!] to match my vintage train case.

I look forward to using the luggage on my next wanderlust adventure!  Ta ta St. Louis.  ♥
