I adhere to the seasons like I do rules.
It is not uncommon for me to be wearing a summer dress, in an autumn color scheme, in the middle of winter. I just wear what I like.
When you have a closet full of summer dresses, but live in a climate where it is winter six months out of the year, you just have to make it work.
I do so by layering.
Turtlenecks under strapless dresses. Sweaters over sleeveless dresses. Cardigans over everything. Blazers, jackets and tights, tights, tights. Sometimes even socks and tights.
It is all good.

Are you a stickler for no white after Labor Day? Eyelet only in the summer? Harvest hues in autumn? Suede and velvet for winter? Or, do you mix seasons with wild abandon?

I like to wear bright colours in winter. Everyone here seems to automatically switch to black, grey and neutral colours for winter but I think wearing bright colours makes the days seem less dreary.

You’re SO pretty. I’m so happy to come across your blog. I love your sense of style, and these photos just make me really happy to see.
You truly are beautiful. You can tell you have a good heart which (don’t tell anyone) is pretty rare on these blogs….

I’d like to say ‘with wild abandon’ but for me that currently only works for three seasons out of the year. I feel the cold so much I usually revert mainly back to grey in winter because I can’t find enough vintage knitwear in fun colours (can’t wear wool). Winter is something I’m working on though.
Very cute ring BTW.
