From no color to my two favorite colors…

Aqua/Turquoise/Teal whatever you prefer to call it and Red. I love them both. Especially together.
It may seem like an odd color combination to some, like Mister – he thinks they don’t match, but in my world red is neutral. I think the two together are fun.

Fun to wear and fun to cook in. How could you not be happy in a cheery turquoise and red kitchen?
It makes me want to dance.

Ah, I love how you styled the dress! I really love the shoes and purse, too!
AND It totally does match! Speaking in terms of subtractive color (like CMYK), cyan (the blue color) and red are complementary colors. So you are 100% right.

Thanks Kat, I never really thought of it like that… your nerdy photographer side is welcome here anytime! ♥ RJ
What a fabulous, fun post! Great pictures! I love red too – and it looks great with the aqua/teal. Congratulations on the pinup contest!
Thanks April, I had fun doing this one… the pin up contest too. I met a bunch of sweet vintage-loving ladies and am already looking forward to next year’s contest. ♥ RJ
hehe I love the dancing shot and it goes so well with the music. I think this is a lovely color combination and I adore the shots!!!! Your new layout is amazing too.
Thanks Victoria. I find it ironic that now my site is orange and green I seem to be wearing everything blue and red like my old design. I must have something orange in my closet…. ♥ RJ
Great photos! I love the vintage vibe and red and teal are among my most favorite color combinations! Great kitchen, too.
I laughed aloud when you wrote “in my world red is neutral” – I tootally understand you. When you wear red lipstick 24/7, you start to think it goes with everything.
Love the outfit, your kitchen, and the music (I downloaded Wanda Jackson after reading your post with it in the background).

Oh yes, I agree with you 100%! In fact those are the exact colors my kitchen will be someday, if I ever do anything about it other than having a few red vintage items and a turquoise tea kettle. LOL Alas, we have a teensy galley kitchen so it’s the one room that gets completely ignored. I absolutely adore yours!
Just found your blog and am loving it.
I love that combo for a kitchen. In fact, I like it so much that I used it in MY kitchen, too.
Uhhh… speechless. I want pretty much everything on those shelves!
You look fantastic and I want your kitchen. I lovelovelove that color combination. I’m fiddling with it in my blog design to get it just right but you’ve hit the nail on the head.
